Session I - 4:30 pm
Email Security Techniques
Spam, viruses, worms, and phishers ... the internet can be a dangerous place, and email is no exception. This session will discuss some techniques to help defend your organization from the worst they can throw at you.
Session II - 7:30 pm
Getting Java & RPG to Talk Both RPG and Java have their strengths and weaknesses ... why not use the best of both worlds? This session will cover some common integration techniques, focusing on a technique that provides maximum flexibility with minimum setup.
Speaker Bio: David Gibbs is a Principal Software Engineer for the Integrity Business Unit of PTC and is also owner / administrator of midrange.com.
He has worked on "Midrange" systems (starting with the System/36) for more than 27 years. He has run midrange.com, and its email based discussion forums, for more than 18 years.
David serves on the COMMON Education Foundation board of directors, the COMMON Course of Study "Application Development" team, and the COMMON Community and Networking Committee.
David was awarded COMMON's Distinguished Service Award in 2008 and was named an IBM Power Systems Champion in 2011.
